Welcome to Ballyhane Stud
Ballyhane Stud is a family run stud farm located at the heart of the South East, in Co. Carlow. Since its establishment in 1991, the facilities at Ballyhane have been continuously developed to provide a wide range of services to the bloodstock industry.
With a current roster of five stallions standing at the stud, top class boarding and foaling facilities, sales preparation and all-weather gallops for pre-training and training, we can take a horse from conception right through to the racetrack, with the guarantee of a personal service to our clients.

Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes
We are excited to be involved in the sponsorship and running of the inaugural Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes at Naas Racecourse this year, on Sunday 23rd August. This race offers an exciting new opportunity for two year olds who’s sires established a median price of no more than €75,000 at yearling sales, with a prize fund of €320,000 and prize money being paid to all 20 runners in the race. With a unprecedented level of interest in the race and 563 initial entries made, there will also be a consolation race on the same card with a race value of €80,000. Together with the Listed Ballyhane Blenheim at Fairyhouse these races allow us to show our support to breeders, owners and trainers in Ireland and the UK.
